INSPECTOR GENERAL: BIO
On May 30, 2007, the New York State Senate confirmed the Governor’s appointment of Barry L. Kluger as Inspector General of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. From 1978 until this appointment, Mr. Kluger had been a prosecutor in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. Most recently, he served as Chief Assistant District Attorney, a post he occupied since 1989. Previously, he served as Executive Assistant District Attorney, Chief of the Investigations Division and Chief of the Arson and Economic Crime Bureau. Mr. Kluger received his B.A. from City College of the City University of New York and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
